Tripura Sundari Temple is believed to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines. The temple consist a square type sanctum with a conical dome. Tripura Sundari Temple was constructed by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya Debbarma in 1501. The idol of Maa Kali is worshiped at Tripura Sundari temple in the form of 'Soroshi'. The idol is beautifully carved out of black stone. Tripura Sundari temple is also known as Kurma Pitha.
